Exclusive interview with Spanish porn production company ALTER SIN

You’ve might noticed that I write a lot about Alter Sin, a porn production company based in Spain. These guys have been producing some of the hottest videos for MEN.com, and they alway share fun behind the scenes pictures on their Twitter and Facebook profiles. Alter Sin has worked with some of the hottest gay porn models and they always said nothing but nice things to say about working with these talented guys. Below, you can read my interview with the Alter Sin team!

Hi guys, thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule to answer my questions. First of all, please tell me more about the whole Alter Sin concept and style, why is it different?

The Alter Sin concept was born from the idea of the porn we would like to watch. For many years we have been working really hard in the media sector in many different fields, but especially in the ones related to erotism and sexuality. From the beginning we knew we not wanted to be like everybody else, but going further and finding new ways of expression inside porn, but without missing the essence of good sex. That has taken us to be constantly aware of new technologies, selecting very carefully our next projects, researching sex,  fetishism and looking for something that would make us different. By now we believe our brand is in the videos we make and our slogan is to improve in each scene and make it better than the previous one.

How did this whole journey in the porn business start for you? How big is the Alter Sin team?

Like all beginnings, nothing is easy, but we are lucky to have been in the bussiness in an low-profile way for many years…basically each member of the team has worked with small and big companies before starting into this journey; and we knew, at least, a few things we shouldn’t do. For example, the Alter Sin director and engineer of mostly all the ideas has been part of very famous productions worldwide for other companies and directors.

The team is a very family-like and we know each other very well and each one of us knows what to do and we trust each other completely. Although we know we still some way to go, we believe we can do really big things…starting from the basics that imagination and creativity can compete with big productions.

Can you tell me more about the whole process of shooting videos? How do you choose the models? Do the studios send you scripts or you write them? How many videos do you produce in a month and which studios have you filmed content for?

Our filming method and model selection go according to the company we are working for: some of them give us more freedom in the selection and others just suggest names among many posibilities. Regarding scripts, we always have a lot of freedom although it’s true sometimes there are things some companies can find too risky.

Regarding our filming method, our models say we can be really fast-paced, and that’s probably because of the complicity of the team, the good vibes we have on all the sets or just the priority we give to REAL SEX and fluidity. We like sex, we like pornography and we love watching a video where the sex is real, the actors feel what is happening and above all, each shoot has the same energy as the previous one..probably we realize too that actors and models are humans and not machines.

We are shooting around 10 scenes monthly for different companies and we have punctual collaborations with other companies, same as requests that demand our style. In other way, we worked for many important studios like Kink.com, New Sensations, Evil Angel, Lust Films or important companies created by some actors…although we are always opened to new challenges however big the company is.

At Alter Sin, we feel really lucky that a company like Men.com has trusted us to create content for them. From the beginning they have trusted in us a lot and we are really thankful for the liberty we have been always offered and the oportunity of working for them. We really like them because they have really clear what they want but at the same time are always looking for new ideas and going further.

How much times does it usually take to film a scene? Do you have a studio or you usually rent places?

As we mentioned before, our filming formula is nearly real time, which gives the viewer the feeling of being there in the moment we are filming. Now we have our own studios where we shoot mostly all of our productions, but we shoot too anywhere our imagination is endless..if the story requests another place, we move wherever is needed to get the most of what we have in mind from the beginning.

You make very hot videos, why don’t you start your own porn site? I think it would be a huge success!!

We have been asked that many times, and the truth is that we are really comfortable planning new ideas everyday, carrying on with the same passion we had on the first day and the feeling of always improving. We believe there are people who do it really well and we are really happy they trust in us but at the end we are creators and developers of ideas…Making a site means risking to lose our own essence and be more aware of numbers than innovation… who knows? Things change a lot but, at this moment we love big, and small companies trust in us and their clients can enjoy what we do.

You’ve worked with some of the hottest gay porn stars and in your testimonials all of them speak highly of you… but tell me who is your favorite model to work with?

Everytime we interview an actor who comes for the first time, we are really surprised with the impressions they have because it gives us a lot of energy and the need of carrying on on what we do…we always try to create a positive atmosphere and the most important is that we really enjoy doing it.. I think that’s why people want to return to us.

I think we can’t choose just one actor from all the ones we worked with so far…each one left its footprint and we have a little bit from each one in our memories…each scene is very important for us and at the end they are like another child to our family…with actors it happens the same…after they come to work with us for the first time they end up being part of Alter Sin family.

What’s the funniest thing that happened on set?

Stories? Hehe.. each day brings a new story. If there weren’t any, there wouldn’t be filmings..For example, today we have been filming in an amazing location and while we were setting up, the owner of the country house was asking us when the women were coming…. Or the other day the director wore a crocodrile costume to shoot because he is always having fun on the set… Everyday is a new adventure and always happens hundreds of stories…

You’ve just finished shooting some new scenes for Jay Roberts’ upcoming porn site. What’s the next big project for Alter Sin?

We have just finished filming an amazing project we made for Jay Roberts and the best is that he gave us full liberty to do whatever we wanted to and that gave us a really important push and we are really proud of this product. We can say it’s a 100% Alter Sin because we had no limits in creating.

Anyway, the best project is always going to be the next one: we firmly believe in taking steps forward and not backwards.
We have a few proposals to work in a few very specific-theme productions although with our own style for United States and Europe, but we cant reveal too much…Anyway, rest assured you would be the first ones to know every step we take…We love your blog and it is wonderful to have a meeting point where we can be updated about every single productions of the moment…Before we used to watch the news while having breakfast; now we just can’t start the day in the studios without checking www.queerpig.com.
